Resonance, a premier coaching Institute for IIT-JEE,AIPMT,AIEEE, SAT, Olympiads
and other competitive exams has produced National Topper in the final stage
of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) 2011. Yash Gupta of class XI of Resonance’s
Udaipur Study Centre has captured All India Rank–I (AIR-I).He is studying in the
Yearlong Classroom Contact Programme (YCCP) of Resonance for IIT-JEE.
From Resonance, total 68 students have been selected for the KVPY fellowship awards
-2011 which includes 42 students from Yearlong Classroom Contact Programme (YCCP),
25 from Distance Learning Programme (DLP) & 1 student from e-Learning division of
Resonance. Resonance’s Classroom Contact Programmes have once again raised a good
number of students to successfully cross the Final Stage (Personal Interview) of
KVPY, conducted from 16.01.12 – 21.01.12.
At National level, a total of 940 students of class XI and 1162 students of class
XII appeared for the final stage out of which 283 students of class XI and 854 students
of class XII have been selected for the KVPY fellowship awards -2011.
From Resonance, a total of 37 students of class XI & 43 of class XII appeared for
the final stage out of which 12 students of class XI and 30 of class XII have been
selected for the KVPY fellowship awards -2011.From Kota Study Centre total 20 students
of class XI & 23 students of XII appeared for the final stage out of which 07 students
of class XI & 16 of class XII cleared the final stage. Similarly from Jaipur Study
Centre, 10 students of class XI & 8 students of class XII appeared out of which
02 students of class XI & 06 of class XII cleared the final stage. From Udaipur
Study Centre total 5 students of class XI & 1 student of class XII appeared for
the final stage out of which 02 students of class XI & 01 of class XII cleared the
final stage including the National Topper. 01 student of Class XI & 07 students
of Class XII have also been selected from Institute's Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, Delhi
& Bhopal Study Centres respectively. All the selected students are from Regular
Classroom Contact Programme of Resonance.
KVPY is a program administered by Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bengaluru)
& funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Government of India.
The program aims to identify & encourage talented students with aptitude for Research
& Development in Basic Sciences, Engineering & Medicine. The students of Class XI,
XII & undergraduate can appear in this examination. The Exam is conducted in two
stages. Stage -I is a Written Aptitude Test. Based on the performance in the aptitude
test, candidates are called for the interview which is the final stage of the selection
procedure. Approximately 200 students from each Class (XI & XII) are selected for
the Final Fellowship after the Interview.For Class XI students, the fellowship is
only given when they pursue under graduate course in basic science.For class XII
students the fellowship is only given when the students opt for research in Basic
Sciences, Engineering & Medicine field.
