173 Students of Resonance Selected for (Stage II) – INO

173 students of Resonance successfully qualified in National Standard Examination (stage 1 of International Olympiad). Out of 173 students, 131 students are from Regular Classroom Program and 42 students are from Distance Learning Program.

The Managing Director of Resonance Mr. RK Verma informed that the first phase of this International Olympiad is organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).He further added that 84 students are from Kota Study Center, 22 Students are from Resonance Base Bangalore Campus, 6 students from Udaipur Study Center, 5 students from Nagpur Study Center, 4 students from Jaipur Study Center, 3 Students each from Ahmedabad & surat study center, 2 Students are from Raipur study center and 1 student each is from Bhubaneswar & Mumbai Study Centre. All the qualified students are eligible to appear for the second phase exam organized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai. The number narrows down to 64 students for Chemistry Olympiad, 40 for Physics Olympiad, 46 Astronomy Olympiad, 14 for Junior Science Olympiad and 9 for Biology Olympiad.

The Managing Director of Resonance Mr. RK Verma told that under this International Olympiad, an exam for the Indian National Olympiad (INO) will be conducted. The qualified students will get an additional privilege to attend an Orientation cum Selection Camp. Under this, top 35 students selected from each subject will participate. The fourth phase, Pre- Departure Camp will comprise of further selection of 5-6 students on the basis of Selection Camp. All the students who attended Pre – Departure Camp will further represent in International Olympiad. The winning students will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medal respectively.

It is a matter of pride for Resonance that 13 students bagged Gold Medal, 22 bagged Silver Medal, and 6 students bagged Bronze medal since 2007 in Various Olympiads.
