The result of the final stage of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE Stage-2)
conducted by National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) was
announced on 18th September 2018.
According to the result, the students of Resonance have achieved marvelous success
this year, a total of 150 students of Resonance have been successful in this examination.
All these selected students will get a scholarship of Rs 1250 for Higher/Senior
Secondary level & Rs 2000 (under-graduation and post-graduation). Amount of scholarship
for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
Mr. R. K. Verma, Managing Director of Resonance congratulated all the selected students
and informed that the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is being conducted
by NCERT for students studying in class X. The purpose of the exam is to identify
talented students and nurture their talents. The examination is conducted every
year by NCERT at two levels: Stage-1 (State Level) and Stage-2 (National Level).
The cutoff of the examination for students of general category is 150 marks, for
scheduled caste students is 122 marks and for scheduled tribe students is 113 marks.
From the selected students for the scholarship, 92 are from Kota study center and
35 students from other study centers, 23 students from DLPD from Resonance.
Each State/Union Territory is allotted a quota for the Stage-2 examination & the
students who qualify Stage-1 are eligible to appear for Stage-2 examination. Around
4000 students were selected for the second round from all over India & out of the
total, 1027 students have been selected for the scholarship this year.
It is a great moment of pride that 1874 students have been selected for NTSE from
Resonance since 2006.
