Gold Medal (IJSO 2010)
Resonance Pre-Career Care Programme (PCCP) division has again touched the zenith
of excellence in the field of competitive Examination preparation.The final stage
result of International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO), which took place in Abuja,Nigeria
from 2nd December to 10th December 2010 was declared recently and Yash Gupta, a
student of Resonance's PCCP division from Udaipur has won gold medal.
YASH GUPTA along with 5 other students from the entire country represented India
in final stage of IJSO-2010. The First Stage of this prestigious examination conducted
by Homi Bhabha Centre of Science Education (HBCSE) was conducted in November 2009.
Yash cleared the first Stage and was selected among the 300 shortlisted students
for Stage -2 (Indian National Junior Science Olympiad). Yash also cleared the Second
Stage of the examination which was a written test and was shortlisted among top
35 students of the country to appear in Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) which
was held in Mumbai in April 2010. YASH was finally selected among the final 6 students
who were selected for IJSO to represent India. These 6 students were then called
for Pre Departure Training Camp (PDT) held in Mumbai from 22nd November to 1st December.
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is a competitive examination open
to students of all countries in the world, primarily studying in secondary schools.
All basic subjects of Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) are
given equal representation in the IJSO examination.
